Hey! I'm Alissa, a freelance writer and editor based out of Boston, Massachusetts. I've spent the past four years building experience as a reporter, reviewer, and interviewer on the media side of the video game industry and evolving as both a writer and a person.

Currently I cover news as it relates to the business and development side of the video game industry as a Contributing Editor at Gamasutra. I also write reviews and industry news for a consumer-based audience as a Contributor for Destructoid. In the past I've done similar writing as an Intern at Game Informer and before that as an Associate Editor at Twinfinite.

I'm also a 2015 graduate of the English for New Media program at Dakota State University where I studied classical literature, textual analysis, social media trends, blog management, critical analysis, and the growing intersection between literature and technology. Before my time at DSU I also studied journalism and news editorial at South Dakota State University.
